Kent Homes is a second-generation, female-owned luxury home builder serving Southeastern North Carolina. We are looking for a dependable, motivated Construction Site Assistant who wants more than just a job.

This is an opportunity to get your foot in the door with an established residential builder, learn how high-quality homes are built, work alongside experienced construction professionals, and take on greater responsibility as you develop.

You will begin by supporting our production team across active construction sites, helping keep projects organized, safe, clean, and moving forward. For the right person, this role can become a foundation for a long-term career in residential construction.

What You'll Do

• Support Project Managers and the production team across active residential construction projects.
• Help keep job sites clean, safe, organized, and ready for each stage of construction.
• Prepare sites for subcontractors, inspections, customer visits, and project milestones.
• Remove construction debris, scrap materials, and waste as needed.
• Move, organize, deliver, and stage construction materials and equipment.
• Maintain and transport construction cleanup tools between job sites.
• Assist with miscellaneous field tasks that help keep projects moving efficiently.
• Identify jobsite issues and communicate them promptly to Project Managers.
• Help maintain the professional appearance and curb appeal expected on Kent Homes projects.
• Learn how residential construction projects progress from early construction through completion.
• Follow company safety standards, procedures, and jobsite expectations.
• Represent Kent Homes professionally when interacting with homeowners, subcontractors, vendors, and team members.

Who We're Looking For

We are interested in someone who is reliable, hardworking, curious, and interested in learning the construction business.

You do not need to know everything on day one. You do need to show up, work hard, pay attention, ask good questions, and take pride in doing things properly.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Some construction, trade, maintenance, landscaping, warehouse, or other hands-on work experience.
• Residential construction experience is helpful but not required.
• A genuine interest in developing a career in construction.
• A strong work ethic and dependable attendance.
• The ability to take direction and complete tasks without constant supervision.
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
• The ability to notice what needs to be done and take initiative.
• Comfort working outdoors and on active construction sites in varying weather conditions.
• The physical ability to lift, carry, move, and organize construction materials and equipment.
• A valid driver's license.
• Reliable personal transportation.
• The ability to transport construction cleanup tools between projects.
• A truck is helpful but not required.

Pay and Benefits

• $15 to $20 per hour, depending on experience.
• Monthly vehicle stipend.
• Construction cleanup tools provided.
• Full-time, field-based experience in luxury residential construction.
• Hands-on training and exposure to multiple stages of the homebuilding process.
